Aesthetic clinic content: manage image context

Illustrative situation

A draft gallery contains images with inconsistent lighting and unclear provenance. Viewers may interpret them as comparable evidence of expected outcomes.

The decision

Set an image selection and review process covering permission, provenance and explanatory context. Do not use a visual to imply an outcome the organisation cannot substantiate.

Rehearse this before accepting the change

Show the proposed gallery without the draft's surrounding explanation and ask the reviewer what a reasonable visitor might infer from it.

Use fictional examples and an authorised test environment. Record what happened, the evidence you inspected and any issue that still needs a responsible owner.

Choose a useful measure

Count assets rejected or corrected because their context or permission was incomplete.

Agree the definition and baseline with the team doing the work. Review the result over a comparable period and note other changes that could affect it.

Your planning worksheet

Use these checks to prepare a discussion with your team or supplier. Tick a check when you have recorded the decision or evidence, rather than when a feature has simply been promised.
