Keep each choice question with its answer options

A screen reader can announce several Yes and No options without the question they answer. Visual spacing alone may make grouped questions understandable only to visitors who see the layout.

What to change

Request that every related set of choices has a clear group question which stays connected to its answers visually and through assistive technology.

A worked example

Illustrative example

Two questions ask whether email contact is acceptable and whether a return call is preferred. Hearing No includes enough context to distinguish the questions.

How to check the result

Accept when someone navigating directly among form controls can identify the question, available answers and current choice for every group.

A mistake to avoid

Repeating the complete question inside every answer can become noisy; ask the supplier to use an appropriate grouping pattern.

Your action checklist

Use these checks to prepare a discussion with your team or supplier. Tick a check when you have recorded the decision or evidence, rather than when a feature has simply been promised.
