Let visitors select and copy ordinary page information

A page can disable text selection or place invisible interaction layers over addresses and contact details. Visitors cannot copy practical information into another app without retyping it.

What to change

Ask the supplier to preserve ordinary selection and copying for information visitors reasonably need to reuse.

A worked example

Illustrative example

A visitor copies the branch address into their preferred map application without activating an unrelated card or having to re-enter each line.

How to check the result

Accept when practical text can be selected and copied accurately through ordinary device tools without breaking surrounding navigation.

A mistake to avoid

Turning every content block into a clickable card can unintentionally remove familiar reading and copying interactions.

Your action checklist

Use these checks to prepare a discussion with your team or supplier. Tick a check when you have recorded the decision or evidence, rather than when a feature has simply been promised.
