Healthcare content planning: assign review responsibility

Illustrative situation

A service article is ready to publish, but its author has left and nobody owns the information about eligibility or opening hours.

The decision

Assign responsibility to a role that can verify the subject. Keep editorial production, factual checking and final approval visible as separate steps when different people perform them.

Rehearse this before accepting the change

Simulate a changed appointment policy and ask the named owner to locate and correct every affected passage before approving the update.

Use fictional examples and an authorised test environment. Record what happened, the evidence you inspected and any issue that still needs a responsible owner.

Choose a useful measure

Measure the proportion of published service content with an active owner and recorded review trigger.

Agree the definition and baseline with the team doing the work. Review the result over a comparable period and note other changes that could affect it.

Your planning worksheet

Use these checks to prepare a discussion with your team or supplier. Tick a check when you have recorded the decision or evidence, rather than when a feature has simply been promised.
