An empty response is mistaken for a published page

The editor shows a complete guide while the public address serves an empty shell. A successful response alone has become the release evidence.

What to change

A successful status means that a response was delivered, not that the approved article was included. Ask the developer to compare the public response with the approved heading and main paragraphs. This separates a publication defect from a search problem. Capture the missing content before requesting a fix, and require the same comparison after release so the issue cannot be closed with a screenshot of the editor.

A worked example

Illustrative example

Illustrative test: Check an existing working guide and the failing guide using identical requests.

How to check the result

The released response contains the expected main content, not only the navigation.

A mistake to avoid

Repeated indexing requests cannot repair missing page content.

Your action checklist

Use these checks to prepare a discussion with your team or supplier. Tick a check when you have recorded the decision or evidence, rather than when a feature has simply been promised.
