Give automatically changing carousels a stable pause option

A rotating carousel can replace a card while someone is reading it or move a link just before activation. The timing is particularly difficult for slower reading and keyboard navigation.

What to change

Ask for a clear pause mechanism and predictable behaviour when visitors interact with the carousel.

A worked example

Illustrative example

A visitor pauses a rotating set of branch panels, reads one completely and uses Next to inspect another at their own pace.

How to check the result

Accept when visitors can stop automatic movement and retain control of the reading sequence without repeated reactivation.

A mistake to avoid

A pause control that appears only during a short hover window can be as difficult to use as the moving content itself.

Your action checklist
